Preserving Tradition, Protecting the Future: Joymom’s “Blessing of Hundred Homes” Eco Lion Dance Project

on January 11, 2025 .

This Chinese New Year, Joymom’s proudly presents the “Blessing of Hundred Homes” Eco Lion — a lion head made from recycled materials, blending tradition with sustainability to redefine festive celebration.

A Lion That Grew From Waste

Have you ever wondered where discarded snack wrappers, drink pouches, or food packaging end up ten years later?
They may already be in our water, air, or even on our dinner plates.
Created in collaboration with eco-artist Co2, this lion head is made from upcycled plastic wrappers — each piece representing a memory from a home, now transformed into a shield of blessings.

Where Culture Meets Responsibility

The lion dance, a symbol of luck and protection, takes new life through our collaboration with the renowned Guan Sheng Gong Lion Dance, bringing this sustainable lion to center stage.
Instead of traditional fabrics and embroidery, its body is adorned with Joymom’s biscuit wrappers and everyday snack packs—a creative twist with a conscious message.

The plastic waste from today’s snacks might end up in tomorrow’s meals.

This lion reminds us: reducing plastic isn’t just about the environment— it’s about our own health and the well-being of the next generation.

Let the New Year Carry Meaning, Let the Blessings Continue

At Joymom’s, we believe happiness isn’t just baked into cookies— it’s built into the values we uphold.

The “Blessing of Hundred Homes” lion is our tribute to tradition — and our promise to the future.

Join us at The Exchange TRX to visit our “Hundred Lions” installation — more than just an art piece, it’s a powerful call for environmental awareness. Hundred Lions serves as a reminder to reduce plastic waste and protect the well-being of both our communities and the planet.

  • Location: The Exchange TRX (TRX Mall)
  • Exhibition Period: Now until January 26
